Tyler D. Depuydt, MS, ATC, CSCS, USAW-2 National Coach

Tyler Depuydt is a certified athletic trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA, and holds his Level 2 USA Weighlifting certification as a National Coach.

Involved with sports his whole life, Tyler pursued an athletic training degree, then followed it with a masters in athletic training. He has always enjoyed working with athletes and found his passion in weightlifting and strength and conditioning. He also discovered that he had a gift for bringing out the best in athletes – not just in terms reaching their strength potential but also in terms of putting them into the right frame of mind to perform at their best.

Before starting West Michigan Muscle, Tyler ran the Performance Training Program at Bronson Hospital. He has had experience with training athletes from high school level through NCAA and currently runs a USAW sanctioned Barbell Club.

Tyler resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan with his spouse Jessie and their rescue lab-mix dog, Calvin. In addition to sports, he enjoys anything outdoors.

Jake Kerwin

Always an athlete, Jake Kerwin played basketball and football in high school, followed by Division III football. Those sports led him to enjoy lifting weights to gain overall strength.  In 2012,  he began Olympic weightlifting at a local barbell club.

Jake has participated in many weightlifting competitions; and has always put effort into learning to do things the right way and continuing to get better.

Already a successful business owner, Jake brings business savvy and provides vital coaching support during competition.  He resides in Schoolcraft with his wife and 2 daughters, Norah and Adelle.

Collin Worm

Collin fell in love with sports at a very young age. He became a strong competitor in wrestling competing at a top level from a young age. From there he transitioned into football and track and field in high school taking top 10 performances at state in Track and Field and 2nd Team all-conference in football with short season from injury. He then competed in Division 3 Collegiate Track and Field and competed at the national level.

Collin pursued his Bachelors of Science at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh majoring in Kinesiology – Strength and Conditioning with a minor in Business Administration.

He built a love for Olympic Weightlifting in college and is now working hard to become a top National weightlifter and compete internationally. His best accomplishment in weightlifting is Silver at University Nationals.

He has worked with countless athletes and clients in personal training, in a crossfit gym, and currently as the Strength and Conditioning Coach of a local high school.

He loves training athletes/clients who have a passion to better themselves through sports performance in weightlifting or general strength training. He coaches with high expectations but has a goal of each athlete maximizing their full potential.

His highest achievements in weightlifting include:

  • 2016 University Nationals Silver Medalist
  • 2016 American Open Bronze Medalist

Tyler Dundore

Tyler has been involved with strength and conditioning for over 7 years as an athlete and has coached athletes at the youth, high school, and college levels. He has interned at Grandville High School, West Michigan Muscle, and Cressey Sports Performance.

Tyler earned his bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University in 2018. He is currently in graduate school to earn his master’s in science in Exercise Physiology at Western Michigan University where he is also a graduate assistant in the Health and Human Performance Department.

Tyler is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED.
